Climate Change Consulting Denmark (CCC) is a Start-up Company formed in 2017 by the winning team of the 2016 Climate Innovation Hackathon arranged by ClimateKIC and the city of Vejle.

CCC’s winning idea is to develop a technical solution solving surface flooding by replacing a standard pavement with a partly glass covered underground concrete stream: Transparent Urban Waterway (TUW).

The solution will not only ensure that cities become less vulnerable to flooding and rains storms but will ensure wide stakeholder involvement and add livability to the afflicted areas.

Our vision is to maximize the value of cities investment in climate adoption solutions. Our focus is on integrating infrastructure solutions with each other, and on helping cities to invest in livability in the city, for a reduced cost.

What we do

CCC offers an innovative aesthetic technical solution, combining a way for cities to adapt to climate change and increasing the livability in the neighborhood.

We can provide innovative holistic climate change adaptation solutions to cities, landowners, utility companies and municipalities.

In addition to reducing the risk of flooding in heavily paved cities, TUW offers the option to integrating art, urban design, livability, smart city and nature both to the narrow street of old inner cities and in new development areas.

In collaboration with Vejle, IBF and DTI and Copenhagen University we are currently developing our winning solution.
